Jordan Lee, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Calgary, investigates the impact of spinal cord injury on the autonomic nervous system and how this leads to subsequent cardiovascular dysfunction. Jordan used the Hubert van Tol Travel Fellowship to visit the laboratory of Dr. Vaughan Macefield in Melbourne, Australia, to learn the microneurography technique to directly record parasympathetic nervous system activity from the vagus nerve.
