Elahe Memari, a Doctoral student at Concordia University, is investigating the use of focused ultrasound in conjunction with microbubbles to locally modulate the tumor microenvironment towards a pro-immune and anti-tumour response for hard-to-treat solid tumors like glioblastoma. Elahe used the Dr. Hubert van Tol Travel Fellowship to attend the IEEE International Ultrasound Symposium in Taipei, Japan.
