Anne-Sophie Sack, a doctoral candiate at the University of British Columbia, investigates how nerve cells in certain brain regions transform from their normal state to becoming capable of generating and sustaining seizures. Anne-Sophie used the Dr. Hubert van Tol Travel Fellowship to attend the Society for Neuroscience (SFN) Neuroscience 2023 in Washington, DC, USA.
