Courtney Bannerman is a doctoral candidate at Queen’s University who is conducting research to better understand how the nervous system interacts with the immune system during spinal cord injury pain and those interactions can be changed to offer patients pain relief. Courtney attended the 2022 International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) Meeting in Toronto, Ontario with her travel award.
